Plunge Copyright and Takedown Policy

DRAFT: not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Note for the operator: to rely on the U.S. DMCA safe harbour you generally need to register a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office, and the details here must match that registration. This has not been done yet.

We respect the rights of game developers, publishers and other creators. Plunge profiles must not contain a game's own content (models, textures, sounds, levels, code or packaged assets), and the hub rejects files that look like it. If you believe something on the hub infringes your rights, tell us.

How to send a notice

Send a written notice to:

Elizabeth Lennox Dallas, Texas, United States copyright@plungevr.com

We have not yet registered a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. We still read every notice sent to this address and act on valid ones promptly.

Your notice should include:

Knowingly sending a false notice can make you liable for damages.

What we do

When we get a valid notice we will promptly remove or disable access to the profile and tell the person who published it. We may also remove the profile while we look into a complaint that is not yet complete.

Counter-notice

If your profile was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent with:

If the rights holder does not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have started a court action, we may restore the profile.

Repeat infringers

We will end the publishing access of people who repeatedly upload infringing content. Because every upload comes from an account, we do this by removing their content and closing their account.
